Our Partners
To date (2009) Sakku Investments has twenty business partners, including Jacques Whitford and the Northwest Company and Jacques Whitford. Sakku partners also include its three sister Inuit Birthright Corporations operating in Nunavut: Kitikmeot Corporation owned by the Kitikmeot Inuit Association; Qikiqtaaluk Corporation owned by the Qikiqtani Inuit Association; and Nunasi Corporation, the pan-Nunavut corporation owned by Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated (NTI), the mother Inuit organization overseeing the NLCA (Nunavut Land Claims Agreement). Sakku owns thirteen companies with these partners.
There are also two Sakku companies. Sakku Investments owns one company outright: — Sakku Properties, a real estate company with property holdings in Rankin Inlet — and is the majority owner of Sakku Drugs, a retail pharmacy in Rankin Inlet.
