Position Summary:


Sakku Properties Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sakku Investments Corporation, has openings for 3 Summer Students. We are seeking motivated individuals who want to gain valuable work experience as part of our property maintenance team. The successful candidates will also have an opportunity to gain leadership skills by taking a turn at directing the tasks of the Summer Students with mentoring and support from the SPL manager and staff. The successful applicants will be client/service oriented; willing to learn; able to follow instructions and have interest in the field of Building and Property Maintenance.

Employment Opportunity

Controller

Position Summary:


Sakku Investments has an opening for a Controller. Under the supervision of the Director of Finance, the Controller will be responsible for providing organizational leadership in key financial and business planning, to assist Sakku’s management in the effective administration of the corporation and its subsidiary companies. The position also provides critical analysis for evaluations on the viability and financial requirements, including financing options, for any of Sakku’s business initiatives.

Career Development Officer

Position Summary:


Sakku Investments Corporation, in Rankin Inlet, has an opening for a Career Development Officer (CDO). Reporting to the Training and Employment Coordinator, the CDO will assist in developing and delivering career counselling; gathering and compiling resumés of job seeker, Apprenticeship training and support; and the development, and implementation of a Kivalliq Employment Action Plan among other responsibilities. Through thei work, the CDO will participate in building and maintaining relationships with Sakku's group of companies, business partners and affiliated companies to optimize training and employment opportunites for Kivalliq Inuit enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement.

Reporting to the President of Sakku investments Corporation, the General Manager's responsibilities consist of providing organizational leadership on directing and coordinating the activities of Sakku Properties Limited (SPL), and overseeing the operations of the company. The position provides managerial support in formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources for all of SPL's functional requirements.
